If that's the case, then by the end of the calendar year; Yorkton and area residents are going to have a few more options to choose from when they decide to eat out.
If you've had a chance to check out the Smokin' Okies in Regina, please comment and let us know about your experience. The menu on the website looks very enticing.
LOVE smokin okies!!! By far, our favourite place to stop on the way out of Regina. Their pulled pork is to die for. OOh..I'm hungry for bbq at 9:00 in the morning.
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons I moved from Yorkton to Regina, Mike!

Any truth to the rumours about a Montana's being franchised by the High School Teachers?
ReplyDeleteNo truth on Montannas. I have tallked to the Cara Group(owns Montannas and Kelseys etc) and they feel Yorkton is too small of market.

ReplyDeleteThen you are going to love Mr. Mikes Steakhouse and Bar.

Smokin Okies is outstanding. You have to try it (and not the location at Mosaic for Rider games) for yourself to see how good it is. Damn, I wish it was open now!
ReplyDeleteSmokin' Okies misses the beat more often than not. I LOVE barbeque with every fibre of my being and I'm not a snob about it... With only one true BBQ restaurant in the city I hit it about 6 times per year, but more often that not leave disappointed in the food. On a recent Saturday lunch rush the smoker wasn't even running - a 100% indicator that they were serving leftovers and reheating them. If that's the quality of a place run by the owner, imagine the quality from a franchisee...
